NEW NOTES FOR THE FINALISTS:
Please try using some different fonts. I would like to be able to choose from a variety. The overall layouts are great so try some of your current designs with a switch of font. I would like to see more san-serif style fonts but still simple and clean.
I've decided I don't like the lighter colours I would like to see primarily black with either navy blue, dark royal blue or charcoal gray elements.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SUBMITTING A DESIGN
I want a business logo for my bookkeeping business. The name of my business is "Maddison Black Ink"......."Maddison" is one element of the company name and "Black Ink" is the second element.
The use of the term "Black Ink" is a play on words. To be in the "black ink" in accounting means to be in a profitable position. It is a little bit of an old-fashioned expression but that is good for setting a conservative, serious tone.
THIS PART IS VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ......I want a very clean, simple design using the full business name combined with a stylized representation of the BOTTOM, RIGHT-HAND CORNER OF ACCOUNTING LEDGER PAPER. To help you picture this, I have uploaded an attachment with an example of ledger paper.
The idea is that I partner with my clients to keep them in the "black ink". I would like to see designs where "Black Ink" kind of looks like the result of an accounting equation.
I want my business name all in BLACK using a very clean, business-like font. (I'm open to different ideas on this though.)
Traditionally the lines on accounting ledger paper are two (or more) pale colours. I'm open to different colour combinations but would like to avoid red and pink.
Things I've seen so far that I don't want:
- circles and curves
- Black treated as the second name of a partnership
- Ink being confused with the word Inc.
- I'm not fond of fonts with serifs (edit: but actually they have started growing on me)
- I've decided green is not good
Things that I've seen that I like:
- combination of navy blue and black
- darker colours
- upper case fonts
P.S. AMAZING WORK SO FAR EVERYONE
