I chose to use the name turf in the business name over other teams like "lawn", "grass", and "land" because I wanted to promote the feeling that your lawn can look like the "turf" you see on TV like baseball and golf.
For instance, I've noticed that my competition doesn't equip striping kits on their mowers to leave those stripes on the lawns of their customers, and that's where I plan to set myself apart.
I think since Home is in the name of the business, perhaps it should play a central part of the design although you may have other ideas that I haven't thought of. You're the designer.
Taking elements from a golf might work also. If you look at images of golf courses, everything from the green to the hills are striped. So that's something worth considering. A flag (the ones they place into the holes on the greens) might be a idea worth considering.
It may not matter, but the more info you guys have to work with, the better... but we also stand out a bit because all of our vehicles (including the enclosed trailers) are yellow. Probably means nothing but I thought I'd share.
Please try to make designs that work well in monochrome/grayscale too... you may see that alot of my top rated design concepts have this ability. Bills, invoices, envelopes, advertisements, etc. may not always be in color so this should be something worth considering when coming up with a design.
