We believe in the role of exercise as medicine - and we would like our logo to reflect this.
We're a team of researchers, graduate students, and health care professionals. Our program is based out of McMaster University and McMaster Children's Hospital.
Our research focuses on how exercise improves health in children and teenagers. We work with healthy kids, as well as children with different chronic medical conditions (for example, kids with arthritis, cancer, cerebral palsy, etc.). A lot of our studies involve exercising on a stationary bicycle or treadmill. We measure how much physical activity and play kids get by using devices called accelerometers. We also measure fitness levels, heart health, and inflammation.
Our target audience is pretty broad - we want it to appeal to CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS, and PARENTS (fun, playful, but not childish, and still professional).
We don't want the logo to look too childish, nor do we want it to be too sterile or plain. We would like the logo to incorporate the themes of EXERCISE or PHYSICAL ACTIVITY or PLAY.
