Design Ideas: Simple, instantly memorable, and thoughtful design, capturing a sense of purpose and passion implied in my work. I am not necessarily looking for the logo to highlight what my company does, but to transcend from a 2-D medium the spirit of CNS...HOPE. While the brain and spinal cord are key aspects of my business, they are not the heart of CNS. I want CNS to stand out as a business from other medical markets, not blend in. As such, I would like the logo to be instantly recognizable so that the design can stand alone or with the full name communicating a sense of purpose, passion, and hope. Also, because I work with children and adolescents, I do not want the logo to scare or intimidate them, yet appeal to physicians, athletic trainers, coaches, teachers, and parents, as well as children.
More Info: Children's Neuropsychology Services is the business name shortened to CNS, which is a medical play on words since CNS medically refers to the brain and spinal cord. Assessing the functional deficits associated with the CNS that neuroimaging (e.g., CT;MRI) cannot detect is what a neuropsychologist does. Where I reside, there are several "Children's" Hospitals, all of which have had their names shortened to "Children's" by the community making it very difficult to discern what institution anyone is referring too. I would like the logo, if words are to be spelled out in the design, to stress CNS first so that the logo helps the community to shorten my business name to CNS and not "Children's."
