We are an international sports club called NOVA underwater hockey. NOVA as an acronym for the Ninjas of Vancouver And Auckland. Underwater hockey is a minority sport, but competition is intense. The game is physically demanding as players need to hold their breath, while being fast, skillful and strong. It's 6 vs 6 on the bottom of a 2m deep swimming pool, while wearing a mask, fins and snorkel. The puck is 1.5kg of lead and players have small one handed sticks. NOVA is a club which prides it's self on high individual skill and focused training - the ninja theme is very fitting. Target audience is athletes in their 20's who want to play for a club who looks "bad-ass". And also have a logo which intimidates the opposition. We like the graphic icon of a ninja star (shruiken) and other weapons.
