- I looked at market trends but also at what would stand out. The white background with ghosted imagery fit the Lee Child / James Patterson mould, whilst still standing out from the usual dark jackets on the shelf/screen.
- No reverse photo of the model on the cover was available. I used Krita to alter the silhouetted photo to be the model from the back, not the front.
- The client was fantastic to work with, revising the blurb when I felt it would have more impact as a shorter piece of text, and providing good input throughout. Together I think we've achieved a punchy jacket that fits the genre but stands out visually.
