Cyberhaven
Looking for rockstars to create a page as brilliant as our product - and a preferred designer for future projects too!
Cyberhaven is a cybersecurity company that provides software solutions to protect against hackers attempting to steal, modify, destroy, or otherwise gain unauthorized access to an enterprise organization’s private and valuable data (e.g. contracts, intellectual property, financial data, healthcare records, personal user information, etc.). It is the only company that can protect data even after attackers have successfully hacked into their target's corporate systems.
Our target audience includes the security and IT officers or executives within large, global financial institutions, hospitals, corporations, multinational law/accounting firms, and government entities.
Thematically we like the idea of evoking a sense of peace, tranquility and comfort for our site’s visitors. We also believe themes that suggest we provide ever-lasting safety, refuge, and protection for the data we are entrusted with would be appropriate.
The Internet is universally polluted with hackers and malware of all sorts and kinds, in fact, up to 90% of large organizations suffered a data breach just last year. Data protected by Cyberhaven will always remain completely unaffected by these threats and attacks, giving our users peace of mind that their data is completely safe in the virtual “safe haven” we provide.
Lastly, because our product is specifically designed to be simple, lightweight, easy to install/use, and intuitive for the users, we would like a website experience that shares similar characteristics - one that is sleek and simple, rather than heavy and busy.
We haven’t released our product publicly yet, so information about our company and technology will be intentionally sparse since we want to keep some technical details confidential for the time being. The main goal of this page is to build intrigue and draw viewer interest to contact us for more information.
We envision a single-scrolling page that contains different content sections/layers. At this point, we do not see a need for menus, since we will not have separate, detailed pages for products, solutions, services, or partners.
When the page first loads, the landing screen should leave a visually stunning and suggestive impression with room for a title statement and perhaps a few additional short value proposition statements. Here are some placeholder examples you can use (feel free to put additional lorem ipsum placeholders if necessary):
1) Breaches will always happen, but never lose your data ever again
2) Imagine a world where your data can never be lost or stolen
3) Malware is here to stay, so how immune is your data ?
Other important elements for the page include sections for:
- About Us section for a short description of the company and financial supporters
- Leadership & advisory team (room for around 5-10 headshots and brief descriptions)
- Customer testimonials (perhaps a quote section or for industry stats, etc.)
- Company offices and contact information
- Career, jobs listings
Our existing website already contains most of the required elements, however, we are looking for a professionally designed layout that is visually differentiated against other cybersecurity companies, and with the different key elements organized more cohesively so that first-time visitors can quickly consume the information being presented.
Note that in the leadership/advisory teams section we would like to show everyone at once, without the need to scroll to see more. This is because our visitors might now only one or a few of the people there, and they need to be able to spot them quickly.
On the testimonials page, we would like to showcase our customers, who are large organizations (for instance, large well-known banks, etc.). We'd like to show logos of these organizations - all at once - with the ability to add a bit of text of the actual testimonial to each of them. Testimonials might mention specific employees of that organizations who wrote the text and include the photos, but this is less important than the logos.
We want to categorically avoid overtly religious tones or elements, for example churches, crosses, Heaven/Hell imagery, etc. Note the word “haven”, should not to be confused with “Heaven” - description here: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/haven.
We are also not particularly fond of images or photos (at least for the main landing section) that depicts a person or an image of a computer, or the combination of both (i.e. person typing on a laptop for example). Also, images of shield, locks and keys are quite overused by other companies in our field, so we would prefer to either avoid them altogether or use very carefully.
To give you a better sense of Cyberhaven's brand identity, we went through a branding exercise to focus and articulate our company's purpose as well as positioning.
Below is the output of our branding exercise:
Our Purpose:
For Cyberhaven, the world would be a better place if companies can focus on growing their business without having to worry about security getting in the way or data breaches causing costly setbacks and delays.
Our Position:
FOR companies that possess private, valuable data
WHO suffer irreparable brand damage, material financial loss, or reduced future business when their data becomes stolen or made inaccessible
Cyberhaven is a data protection solution
THAT never fails to protect data against hackers and malware
UNLIKE other security solutions like antivirus, encryption, DRM and detection and response tools
Cyberhaven protects valuable data on devices even when attackers have gain unauthorized access to these devices, and whether or not the victim is aware of the intrusion.
