The schedule was custom designed to fit within the design while providing the necessary information quickly and clearly.")

This design centered on a dynamic, non-traditional, and playful diamond grid element to accomplish those goals. Early version of the design also included custom designed icons to fit the scheme.
I made an effort to communicate closely with the client throughout and after the contest to find a solution that satisfied and exceeded their aesthetic and functional requirements, and to show them several possible options so that they were an integral part of the design process.")

This design was a playful, clever, and somewhat bold ad campaign concept that seeks to embolden several aspects of the brand so that it stands differentiated from the competition. It would be sure to garner the attention of potential customers and create a memorable association with the brand.
Although it may be a slightly edgier approach than the company's traditional marketing, perhaps this isn't a bad thing... Do these ads “get me”? Do they speak to my complexities as a person? My sense of humor, my desire for companionship, my sexuality? (We are talking about sharing mattresses here.) The existing ads in the styleguide (illustration, wild posting, and social media) show a propensity for the brand to be reaching for a slightly more playful and urban feel than it's competitors. This scheme fully embraces that personality.")

This concept was derived from the slogan \"Perfect for sharing\". The ad utilizes the familiar romantic scene of a [same sex] couple sharing a milkshake. Enter some photoshop magic, and the shake is in fact a Nectar Mattress. Simple, clever, memorable, & catchy.")

A lighthearted and fun scheme. This option utilizes some cute sheep characters (for their traditional association with sleep) to represent a couple in love on the mattress. This illustrates my ability to create some playful vector illustrations.
The same-sex partnership is subtly suggested by the traditional gender color-schemes. The company's branded primary blue, and secondary magenta are used in each character to denote this factor while staying within the style guide.")

The cuddle scheme combines a comforting, soft, simple, and slightly suggestive image with a complimentary splash of color and a text block that holds its own weight. Effort was made to find a balance of boldness and subtly while staying within the vicinity of the brand identity.
The intention of this image selection is to draw the viewer in with a slightly more indicative and abstracted sophistication. I altered original image in Photoshop to get closer to the feel I was looking for.
A variety of different studies are shown, including different blending options, and different text layouts with/without CTA buttons to give the client several options.")

After 7 years working at one of the worlds largest and most renowned architecture & design firms, I am now broadening my scope to include UX, UI, and general graphic/ web design.
I believe that by bringing the same high level of design creativity and rigor from my experience in the architecture/design profession, I will be able to provide a value and unique perspective that is uncommon among traditional web & graphic designers.
