I read his book and then created a new cover that enhanced and illuminated his story. Alex's dog Johnny was a significant portion of the story, and a lot of the action took place in a moody wood.
I love being able to provide this service; reading the story helps SO MUCH to figure out WHAT details will be significant to the author, and it is an option not generally available for contests!")

One special thing about this cover is that the sky and sunset images were taken by me at my favorite wildlife sanctuary. No one else's book will ever be the same, as no one else will use these exact exclusive sky pictures!")

The color is ashes of roses - which is a lovely period color. It contrasts nicely with the black title and accents. The titling hearkens back to the era, and the man with the golden pince-nez and the woman found in the bathtub add even more interest to the title.
