Their business objective is to offer something exciting and new to small-town residents and tourists, teach them about the history of Mezcal, and serve the best food & drinks in a homey atmosphere.
As the brand’s name is an homage to the Mexican actress María Félix, I decided to depict her in the logo, along with an agave plant.
The graphics are paired with chunky hand-drawn type in an oval lockup.")

It's a fully hand-drawn circular design that resembles a vintage postage stamp.
I chose sans serif typography as it feels contemporary and conveys approachability through its casual vibe.
For the icons, I decided on two keys that are connected - meaning the artists each have their own \"key to the city\", and they're coming together on the record.
Above them is a Wind/Compass Rose, a graphic used in old maps, that communicates that the series will include more than one location.")

The client envisioned an organic, desert-themed design that features some of the following elements: a snake, a lightning bolt, and a skull.
We explored a couple of options with two and three of the elements, but settled on a simpler solution.

The color palette is monochromatic to give the design a mature, more sophisticated feel.")

The client envisioned an organic, masculine logo with a heritage element that will enable the brand to grow its customer base.
Their target audience are families with children looking for an elevated space where they can enjoy their vacation and create memories with their loved ones.
🌊 I came up with a beachy design that features a nautical rope & knot. It utilizes hand-drawn type for a human touch and a welcoming vibe, which is enhanced by the channeling of vintage designs that evoke nostalgia.
The color we decided on is red, as it helps Anchor Haus stand out from the competition – beach homes that mostly use muted shades of blue and yellow as their primary colors.
Once the main logo was finalized, we developed the concept to create submarks - wordmarks and monograms for use in different contexts.")

Gia, the client, envisioned an evergreen logo that’s genuine, cheeky, and worldly while remaining sophisticated and approachable.
We explored a couple of directions depicting ruins of Ancient Greek columns but ended up going with a more out-of-the-box, perhaps even obscure concept.
The icon features a detailed, chipped ancient statue of a female, with cracks that mimic stone. It’s accompanied by a ladder referring to the Brand’s tagline to strengthen the meaning and a levitating shadow to add depth.
The hand-drawn, slightly uneven font was created to balance legibility and personability. The vintage color scheme dominated by a greenish-yellow and a reddish-brown adds to the design’s distinguishability and memorability while communicating luxury & heritage.")

I came up with an illustration that features a skull with lightning bolts coming out of its eyes.

The refined Logo is mature & masculine, with a vintage twist authentic to the country lifestyle accompanied by a bivariate color scheme.")

I enjoyed working on the project as the client had a clear vision of what they did & didn’t want & pitched great ideas throughout the process.")
