This was a little bit of a challenge as I had multiple features that were making the solid microscope unique. However, with the gradient going from blue to green, and the cell/DNA connotations that come with a fingerprint, this logo turned out really well.")

So I decided on doing colors that you would NOT expect to be in a neon logo, and yet once they are there they don't look bad. This took quite a bit of messing around before I found just the right scheme.
And of course: the client loved it ;)")

Probably the most creative aspect of this design is the hidden acronym: TPS the initials of the company name slipped into the pictogram of the running athlete.")

For this design, I hit on the globe from the start, but it went through about 25 different renovations. (I submitted 60 of 282 designs) The globe was obviously to show the international quality of the company; but I noticed many people were doing these ridiculously detailed versions of the globe with tiny islands the size of the Bahamas!
It's nice to have that much detail, if that's going on a billboard, but for a logo that's going on a website, 75% of those little islands wouldn't have shown up. I didn't want my client to run into that problem, so I kept my designs simple with clean text and a trustworthy color scheme.")

All the other designers (me included) were creating these, rather boring designs: an \"N\" in a circle, or an \"N\" in a box. And I think we were all sick of it. There just didn't seem to be anything else to do.
But then I hit on this design. I was re-reading the design brief and the word Market caught my eye. So I decided on making a logo that would use a little shop icon. However, there was nowhere for the \"N.\" I was thinking of putting a door on the building because it looked way too flat – then I realized the \"N\" would work perfectly for an arched doorway.
It was an instant 5 star!")

I worked hard to create a design that had an icon that could stand alone, but also one that was beautifully integrated, bound together, and unique.

They were all these shiny legacy looking designs with tons and tons of stock photos, and I thought the contest holder was probably getting pretty tired of them. So I decided on the popular flat style, with the long shadows. For the logo I simply used the initials of Philip Tal.
It's quite obvious even at first glance, that the logo is a P and a T stacked on top of each other. However, it's like the Facebook \"f.\" You'd know it anywhere, and yet there's nothing like it! That's a very important factor for logo design.")

I sat for 10 hours working to get this awesome site off the ground. But it paid off: 99designs said this was one of the best uses of Jimdo they had seen!
My idea was to do a website that as you scrolled down, something \"fell\" or \"drove\" down the page, past various elements on the page. I decided on a water droplet traveling down a pipe, there were various text bubbles along the route to tell what was going on as the drop moves through it. Eventually, it ends up in the ocean. This site took quite a bit of HTML and CSS that I had to script.
