I chose to include the L as the \"B\" alone would look too generic, and \"BC\" might be mistaken for \"Before Christ\". BLC is a more memorable and unique anagram. The B and LC are the same size and invite stacking, repetition and modular usage. This system of building blocks can be expanded to include other letters and sub-brands.
For the wordmark, I chose to use initial caps and lowercase as the name contains a nice repetition of circular letterforms: o, e, u c, s, n. This also helps differentiate Brownlee from more conventional construction company logos that employ big, blocky, all-caps wordmarks.")
